Community Events
All teams in Landsdowne are there to help with the vast amount of work that it takes to keep a community a great place to call home.  Volunteers in the community are needed and appreciated, so that we all work together, not for personal agendas, but for the betterment of the community as a whole.

If you're interested in runing or joining an Event Team, please contact us using the contact form --> (Click Here)

Important Note: If we do not get people interested in volunteering to plan, organize, and participate in leading these types of events, they will not happen!

We encourage all past event volunteers to join the Event Teams to bring their experience and know-how to have a successful event. We are also looking for 2+ volunteers to serve as the co-leaders for each of the event teams.

Event Teams/Groups

Landsdowne has a long history of holding community events, and to continue the traditions, we’re looking for volunteers to plan for the potential upcoming Events! The Board will provide previous event documentation to aid in planning and support potential events with guidance and approvals. Volunteers can choose to participate in all events or just specific ones that they are most passionate about.

Move Nights

Similar to the movie night held in October 2024, the event team would be tasked with choosing dates, a specific location (e.g., pool parking lot), and a movie, as well as with set-up and clean-up on the day of.

National Night Out

As for other events, National Night Out (Every AUGUST) has been held every year in our pool parking lot. This is an optional event that would have to be decided to host and would require all planning, advertising, and any required volunteer sign-ups.

Yard Sales

The Landsdowne Yard Sale made a comeback in September 2024 and would be another optional event that would need to be planned, advertised, and hosted.

Clean-up / Beautification

To host community clean-ups to pick up trash and beautify landscape areas (i.e. pick up sticks, rake and bag leaves & pine needles, light trimming of trees & shrubs, planting of flowers & shrubs, etc.).

Any other Ideas

An Event Team is not limited to only the above-listed events; we encourage volunteers to get creative with event types, especially free and low-cost events (e.g., Bingo Night, Dance Party Night, Egg/Scavenger Hunts, Campfire S'mores Night, Lifeguard Appreciation Day, etc.).
