Tonight we kicked off what we hope will be the first of several movie nights during Pool Season 2012. The weather was almost perfect -- the mid 60s. The kids feel no cold at all -- so they enjoyed the movie in the pool -- while the adults sat pool side! A good time was enjoyed by all. Though it was not our largest attendance ever (many could not attend due to graduation parties and Father's Day events) we still had well over 70 people. Not bad -- not bad at all.
The movie was "A Dolphin's Tale" -- a true story (www.seewinter.com
). Inspiring, fun, heart warming, a teaching lesson -- this is a "keeper" movie. It teaches how love, compassion, believe in something and seeing it through, success over adversity, family values, doing good, finding your passion and so much more are great life lessons -- for young and old alike.
Thanks to our "roadies" -- Marty Horowitz, Liz Kraighman, John Magnacca, Cindi Potter, Sean Underwood and Dan Wenger once again got us set up and ready to go in record time. They are pros.
If you missed the movie and would like to learn more about Winter the Dolphin check our her website www.seewinter.com
. (And for good measure another great website about deadling with life's challenges -- www.onestoryoneworld.com
If you attended, please let us know what you thought -- was it a good choice of movie? Anh suggestions how we can improve upon this type of event. SpecialEvents@Landsdowne.Org
wants to hear from you.
