LANDSDOWNE WELCOME COMMITTEE

The Welcoming Committee was formed to provide the Association an opportunity to embrace new residents and to encourage an environment of unity, cooperation, and family values among the residents living in the Landsdowne community.

The Landsdowne Welcoming Committee consists entirely of volunteers from the community. The following positions have been established to administer this program:

• Chairperson – provides oversight and management of the committee. Ensures that the committee is in compliance with guidance provided by the Board of Directors (BOD). Responsible for requesting additional funding from the BOD as needed. Prepares financial statements for the financial account. Attends BOD meetings to report status of the committee’s activities.

• Co-Chairperson – assist with the coordination of on-site visits to new residents; makes purchases for gift baskets; reconciles the financial account; alternate representative at BOD meetings; and recruits new committee members for the home visiting requirement.

• Visiting Committee Members – provides assistance in preparing gift baskets and welcome packets for new residents. Notifies new residents of the committee’s desire to visit. Coordinates the visit and delivery of welcome packets and gift baskets.
