BEULAH CORRIDOR SEPT 2006		AS THE DAYS GROW SHORTER . . . Our thoughts go from weekends at the beach and cookouts to Halloween and Winter Holiday Season. Is it just me, or does time seem to fly by faster and faster every summer? Oh well, hopefully your summer was filled with fun and happy memories! We, your Landsdowne Board of Directors, care deeply about the well being of our neighbors. Did you know that the pool pump decided to quit running in July? We spent several thousand dollars to ensure your swimming season would not be disrupted. Now w can claim to have the "most sparkling" pool in Fairfax County! On a more serious note, please remember that we are not immune to crime or suspicious visitors. Keep your front and back porch lights on, to afford better illumination on our darker streets. Always carry your mobile phone with you when out walking, and always be sure someone knows where you are and when you are expected to return. Program Fairfax County Police's non-emergency number into your phone (703-691-2131). These things are mentioned purely in the interest of preventing the unthinkable, and not to scare anyone. Simple common sense can go a long way, so please help us keep Landsdowne safe for everyone.

		OUR NEW WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING In case you haven't notices, our new website is now up. Please visit www.landsdowne.org for information on your Board of Directors, meeting information, calendars of events, news alerts (i.e., lost pets) and more. We are very pleased with the new look, and we think you will agree. Check it out today!

		FALL COMMUNITY YARD SALE Our next community yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, October 7. Please check our website and the community information signs for more details as the date approaches.

		ARB INSPECTIONS UNDER WAY Our management company is visually inspecting each and every house and townhouse in the community. Our goal is to keep our homes values up, and we all need to do our share to keep our homes looking presentable. If you have concerns regarding the inspections, why not stop by our next Board meeting and tell us about it.

		NEXT BOARD MEETING Mark your calendars! Our next meetings are Wednesday, October 4 and Wednesday, November 8 (one week later than usual). Meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the Kingstowne Library meeting room. All residents are warmly invited. We hope to see you there!
