NOVEMBER 2007

I LOVE living in Landsdowne.  I moved here in 2005 and rent a townhouse.  When the time comes to buy, I will definitely buy in Landsdowne.  This is my love letter to the community I call home.

The first thing I love about Landsdowne is the Landsdowne Center.  What a great little mall, in easy walking distance from our community .  I don’t know of any other that offers such a wide variety of restaurants.  Whether I dine in or take out, the options are plentiful.  But my favorite part of the Landsdowne Center is the Library.  I’ve read so many books that I never would have experienced if I’d had to buy them.  And I’ve enjoyed many of the events that are held in their community room – the writers groups, book clubs, and of course, the Landsdowne homeowners (and home renters!) meetings.

There’s lots to love within the Landsdowne community as well.  The swimming pool is a great size and the recent upgrades to the pool and pool house make it a really special place to spend the summer.  Even the dogs get to enjoy the pool!  Tot lots, basketball court, tennis courts and walking trails add to the value of living here.  I also appreciate all the community events that offer the opportunity to meet more of my neighbors.

And those neighbors are the very best part of living in Landsdowne.  They’re friendly and helpful – from sharing Thanksgiving dinner to helping when I locked myself out of my house.  I appreciate all these friends and love knowing there are people who are watching out for me.

What are your favorite things about Landsdowne?  Log on to the website at www.Landsdowne.org to post your thoughts and ideas.

In this month of giving thanks, I am grateful for the Landsdowne community I live in and the wonderful neighbors who share it.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!
