New Board Members and Officers Announced!
Please congratulate and welcome our newly-elected President, Tina Ward. Tina served on the board last year as Vice President, and we are confident that she will lead us into 2007 and beyond with her strong leadership skills and commitment to excellence.
Our 2006/2007 Board members are: Tina Ward (President), Manny Ovalle (Vice President and newly elected board member), Steven Gottlieb (Secretary), and John Smith (Treasurer). Members-at-large are: Jay Dick, Marty Horowitz, Vicki Lilllicrapp and Cindi Potter.
One item to note: Brad Duty has stepped down after serving several terms on the Board. Please join us in welcoming his successor, Ron Ashby, to the Board.
While we are on the subject of departing board members, we would like to offer sincere thanks to Mary Georghiou and Brad Duty for their years of faithful service on the board. Mary always kept a sharp eye on spending and was always looking for ways to save money (due to her vast financial background). Brad has served as Vice President and member-at-large, and his dynamic personality and keen eye for details helped guide us through some challenging times. Best wishes to both of you in your future endeavors.

Tick Alert
Now that summer is here, ticks are out in record numbers. Please be sure  your pets are protected with anti-tick medications. Deer ticks can spread Lyme disease, which is just as dangerous to pets as it is to humans. Please call your vet today and protect your pets from these warm weather pests.

OUR POOL IS NOW OPEN
Please stop by and enjoy your community pool. When the thermometer hits 85 degrees or more, a cool dip in the pool feels great! We have a new management company operating the pool this year, and we would love to hear feedback from you, the resident of Landsdowne. Visit our website at www.landsdowne.org to access links to e-mail the Board, or better yet, come to our next monthly meeting and let us know how you feel.

OUR july board meeting
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12 (not July 5, since it's so close to the Independence Day Holiday). Meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the Kingstowne Library, located behind Red Hot & Blue in the Landsdowne Center. The pleasure of your company is requested! Enjoy June - see you in July!
