I hope you're all having a wonderful summer. I'm Pat Matzdorff, a
new Board member and your new Beulah Corridor correspondent. I've
been renting in Landsdowne for two and a half years and I love it
here. I'm hoping to meet more fellow renters and work with
everyone to make Landsdowne a terrific community for renters and
owners alike.
A
new board of Directors was installed in May and the first meeting
with the new members was June 6. Already there's a lot of new
ideas and excitement about providing improved services to the
community. Please feel free to contact any of the Board members at

for any problems, comments or suggestions.
The
Landsdowne website has been improved with many new items including
Board member bios, a column that will be updated regularly and a
community blog. If you haven't already, please make sure to give
us your email so that we can send you information on important
activities in the community, such as the recent sand removal.
A
few homeowners have complained to the Board about neighbors not
picking up after their dogs. Be a good neighbor and don't leave
pet waste in your neighbor's yards. It's Virginia law. Thanks.
At
the pool you'll find a collection box for needed item to send to
our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. There's a list of suggested
items and we'll take all the donations to the U.S.O. for shipping
to the troops. Thanks for your support.
There
are several fun activities planned for the pool -- Adult Swim,
Pizza Night, Volleyball Night and, of course, the popular Dog
Swim. Other community activities coming up are the Fall Yard Sale
and possibly a Block Party and an Arts and Crafts sale. All
activity dates will be posed on the website as soon as they're
scheduled, so make sure to check it regularly.
The
next HOA Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday August 9. I hope
